The Duvets are handcrafted from these local and imported materials:
- 200gsm or 350gsm Wisewool 'Blanketing'
- 300TC 100% Cotton Lining
- Spun Polyester Thread
- Woven Damansk and Recylcled Polyester Labels
- Calico cotton - Zip Closure Carry Bag (we make these in-house. *save $10 if you don't need another bag in your life :)
Pure wool does not like being roughed up or heated when wet.
We advise regular airing to reduce washing intervals.
Machine washable in a front loader (or top loader with no agitator) using COLD WATER and a delicate or wool cycle with wool detergent.
Best to dry naturally, and finish off in tumble dry with no heat, if needed.
Can be ironed at a warm temperature. We recommend stretching the fibres as you iron which will help combat any shrinkage.
NOTE: You might finds traces of 'vegetable matter' such as grass/straw/thistle embedded in the Wisewool. Some do make their way through the double-scouring (washing) process, but they should soften and not feel prickly. We think they are a reminder of how pure and natural the Wisewool is 💚

I have a number of the wise wool duvets and they are wonderful. So light and so warm.
Having been an avid outdoor enthusiast I know the benefits of wool activewear, namely warmth, outstanding temperature regulation and odour resistant. Equally, goose down offers superior warmth to weight (and compressibility) for sleeping bags in cold climates. So I had my doubts on whether a 350gsm winter weight wool duvet inner could compete with my 90/10 goose down duvet inner. I became more concerned when the Kindface duvet arrived and I swapped the inners over given the significant difference in loft. However, tested on the coldest of Invercargill nights the wool duvet inner outperformed the goose down. The wool duvet also created pockets of warm air allowing for freedom of movement on cold nights without fear of stretching out into a cold area. This duvet really does change the feeling of being warm and I still can't get over how something so "flat-looking" can outperform my best goose-down duvet.
We have loved sleeping under our new wool duvet for the last week. It's been super warm on the chilly nights but not overheating us on the more mild ones.

Living on the Chatham Islands, 800km from mainland New Zealand and needing the very best duvet to keep warm at night (in one of the harshest environments) meant we needed something that was super warm but durable and machine washable. I did extensive research into all the wool duvet offerings on the market in New Zealand and Wise Wool's needle punched blanketing, that Kind Face use in their duvets, came out on top - such a clever concept to have a duvet filled with wool blanketing that won't shift or clump. The quality of the duvet that Kind Face produce is exceptional - from the wool filling and the crisp cotton cover down to the the stitching and finished edges. It was important to have a duvet that I could wash without worrying that it would lose it's integrity.
I bought both the 200gsm and the 350gsm duvets to give us plenty of flexibility with warmth and comfort year round as we live in the South Island. Chris very kindly had ties added to the corners of the duvets so we can tie them together.
I believe in Buy Well Buy Once and you really do get what you pay for. Extremely happy with our decision and highly recommend Kind Face as a company to deal with.

Good spotting. Yes they are. When we launched Do Not Disturb in May 2025 we introduced an innovative new sleep mask and pillow system. But we couldn't find any way to improve on the wool duvets we have been making since 2023.
From our own personal experience, yes. Our legal advisor said this doesn't constitute a 'guarantee' - but feedback from our amazing customers suggests that most people will notice a tangible difference in sleep quality. Take a look at the reviews.
'gsm' stands for 'grams per square metre' and is a way of identifying the weight of the wool inside the duvet. The heavier the duvet, the more insulation it provides which directly relates to the 'warmth' it will provide you.
Our 350gsm duvet is best suited for cooler months / rooms, and the 200gsm duvet for warmer months / rooms. Of course there are many variables to consider such as your local climate, the ambient temperature of your bedroom, do you like weight on you (or not) etc.

Our 'secret sauce' is a combination of being laser-focused on making the worlds best sleep products (mostly with New Zealand wool - as it's simply brilliant) - and always in our own NZ based workroom - because this is how we protect our quality, people... and purpose.

You are welcome to visit our Factory Shop and Workroom, Monday - Friday: 9:00am - 4:00pm. Find us at 148 St Georges Road, Avondale, Auckland. It might be a little messy, but that’s only because the cleaner uses our products and sometimes sleeps in.
