Firmness
The inner is sized one up from the cover for a full, medium-firm feel. You can soften or firm it at any time by removing or adding Wisewool™ fill.
Felted wool cover — do not machine wash. Air it regularly to keep washing to a minimum. When needed, hand wash in cold water with wool detergent, rinse well, then lay flat, press out excess water with a dry towel, reshape and air dry.
Wisewool™ inner — do not machine wash. Remove the wool fill and wash the Japara cotton casing in cold water like any other white cotton. While the wool is out, let it breathe in the sun — the rays naturally deodorise, disinfect and renew it. You can also gently hand wash the wool in warm water with wool detergent and let it drip dry.
Fluffing — give the cushion a good shake and fluff to rebalance and re-energise the fill.
You may find the occasional trace of natural vegetable matter in the Wisewool™ — a sign of how pure and natural it is. It softens with use and shouldn't feel prickly.

Yes. The cushion is refillable — add or remove Wisewool™ fill to make it softer or firmer, and give it a shake and a fluff now and then to rebalance the wool and bring it back to life.
Don't machine wash either part. Air the felted wool cover regularly, or hand wash it cold with wool detergent and dry flat. The Japara inner casing can be cold-washed like other cotton once the wool is removed, and the wool itself loves a sunny airing to naturally freshen and renew it.
