Most door stops are made to be hidden away. This one is made to be seen.

Dense felted New Zealand lambswool, weighted with flaxseed and a quiet note of lavender. It's heavy enough to hold a door against any draught, and soft enough to sit on timber, tile or vinyl without leaving a mark.

There's more New Zealand in this than in any other door stop. The wool is felted by Inter-Weave in Auckland, the flaxseed is grown in Canterbury, and every one is made by hand in our workroom.

Why We Made The Door Stop ❤️

We created this door stop because we believe the little things in your home should be both beautiful and useful.

The Orchard Orange colour adds warmth and personality to your space, while the heavy felted NZ wool and natural rope handle make it strong, sustainable and made to last.

It's a small detail that helps keep your home open, airy and full of good energy.

I hope it brings a little colour and a lot of joy to your everyday.

FAQs

Yes. At over 1.3kg, filled with Canterbury flaxseed, it has the weight and natural grip to hold heavy and self-closing doors against strong draughts. People use it on everything from solid timber doors to self-closing entrance doors without it slipping.

No. The soft felted wool base and flaxseed fill have no sharp edges or hard surfaces, so it sits safely on wood, tile or vinyl and slides into place without leaving scuffs — even on delicate finishes.

Felted wool is tough enough for daily use yet soft and textured, so it blends into a room instead of cluttering it. The flaxseed inside adds floor-friendly weight, and unlike plastic or metal it's natural, renewable and biodegradable — long-lasting function without the hard edges or throwaway feel.

Yes. The wool is felted here in New Zealand and every door stop is made by hand in our Auckland workroom, filled with Canterbury-grown flaxseed and dried lavender.
