How a Wool Duvet Sleeps Better
Good sleep holds a steady temperature through the night. Pure Wisewool™ does the regulating for you.
Superior Temperature Regulation
Wool responds to your body — holding warmth when the room turns cold and releasing it as you heat up. Warm in winter, cool in summer, even as the seasons change.
Moisture-Wicking
Wool draws excess moisture away from the body and into the air, keeping the space beneath the duvet dry and balanced. No more waking up hot, cold or clammy.
Comforting Weight, No Cold Spots
A natural, even drape that settles over you without bunching or thin patches. Grounding enough to notice, light enough to forget.
Naturally Healthy Materials
Pure wool resists odours, dust mites and allergens. Non-toxic, hypoallergenic and antimicrobial, wrapped in a 300TC OEKO-TEX® certified cotton lining.
At the Do Not Disturb Sleep Company, when we are fortunate enough to make a sale, we believe that’s the start of our job. Our job is not done until our customers (hopefully you) love their sleep and wake up feeling refreshed and happy.
So, we are proud to offer a 30-night ‘Love Your Sleep’ Promise. If the sleep essential you purchase isn’t delivering to your expectations, you can return it within 30 nights to get a full refund, excluding shipping cost (if applicable). What’s the reason we can make this promise? Because our products work, and because we genuinely care

Weight (Season)
200gsm 'Warm Room' — lighter insulation for milder rooms and warmer months.
350gsm 'Cool Room' — more insulation for cold rooms and winter nights.
'gsm' is the weight of wool per square metre: the higher the number, the warmer the duvet.
Size
Single, King Single / Double, Queen, King, Super King and Californian King. Need Australian or US sizing? Tell us your dimensions and we'll make one to order.
Handcrafted in our Auckland workroom from local and imported materials:
- 200gsm or 350gsm Wisewool™ wool 'blanketing'
- 300TC 100% cotton lining — OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified
- Spun polyester thread
- Woven damask & recycled polyester labels
- Calico cotton zip-closure carry bag, made in-house (save $10 at checkout if you don't need the bag)
Pure wool doesn't like to be roughed up or heated while wet. Regular airing keeps it fresh and reduces how often it needs washing.
Machine washable in a front loader (or a top loader with no agitator) on a COLD, delicate or wool cycle, using wool detergent.
Dry naturally. If needed, finish in a tumble dryer on no heat. It can be ironed warm — gently stretch the fibres as you go to help guard against shrinkage.
You may notice traces of natural vegetable matter (grass, straw or thistle) in the wool. Some makes it through the double-scouring wash; it softens with use and is a sign of how pure and natural Wisewool™ is.
Why Choose The Do Not Disturb Wool Duvet?
Two Weights, Made for Your Season
Every Wisewool™ Duvet comes in two weights, so you can match it to your room.
The 200gsm 'Warm Room' is lighter — suited to milder rooms and warmer months. The 350gsm 'Cool Room' adds insulation for cold rooms and winter nights.
Both regulate temperature and breathe the same way. The weight simply sets how much warmth you start with — many homes keep one of each and switch with the seasons.
Getting the Most From Your Duvet
- Air it regularly — a few hours in fresh air keeps the wool fresh and means far less washing.
- Use a duvet cover to protect the wool and keep everyday care simple.
- Wash cold on a wool cycle — heat and agitation are what wool dislikes, so keep both gentle and it will stay in great condition.
- Choose your weight for the room, not just the season — a warm bedroom may suit the 200gsm year-round, a cold one the 350gsm.
Still Wondering About Something?
'gsm' is the weight of wool per square metre — the higher the number, the more insulation, and the warmer the duvet. The 350gsm 'Cool Room' suits cooler rooms and winter; the 200gsm 'Warm Room' suits milder rooms and warmer months. Your climate, bedroom temperature and how much weight you like all play a part.
Yes — that's wool's strength. It regulates temperature in both directions, insulating when you're cold and breathing when you're warm, while wicking moisture away. Hot sleepers, cold sleepers, and couples who run at different temperatures all tend to settle under the same duvet.
Yes. Wash cold on a delicate or wool cycle in a front loader (or a top loader with no agitator), using wool detergent, then dry naturally. Regular airing keeps it fresh between washes — full care instructions are above.
No. The Wisewool™ sits inside a soft 300TC cotton lining, so what you feel is the cotton, not the wool. You may occasionally notice a trace of natural vegetable matter in the fill — it softens with use and is a sign of how pure and minimally processed the wool is.
Yes. Pure wool is naturally hypoallergenic, antimicrobial and resistant to dust mites, and the cotton lining is OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified — tested against more than 100 harmful substances. No mystery materials, nothing synthetic next to your skin.
Yes. We've been making these wool duvets since 2023. When we launched Do Not Disturb in 2025 we introduced a new sleep mask and pillow system, but we couldn't improve on the duvet — so it carried over unchanged.
We Dream It, And We Make It
We spend a lot of time thinking about what we can do to sleep, and live better. It’s a challenge that has kept us up at night - metaphorically speaking.
The truth is, we sleep pretty darn well. And that’s the simple mission behind Do Not Disturb: to improve lives through better sleep, and living.
If you are wondering who makes these proven-to-perform sleep essentials - we do. Each one is made by hand in our own workroom, which is a rarity these days. This allows us to protect our quality, our people, and our purpose.
